CHAPTER 1
Chapter 1
I sat and waited by the fireplace. I knew it would only be a matter of time before…someone contacted me. Anyone contacted me. How long I couldn’t be sure. “mum? Is it true what Aunt Padma is saying about the moustache?” Bertie was highly thrilled at the prospect of his older cousin being caught out for showing off. “Panju is simply terrible at Potions it serves him right. Uncle George went months with no hair do you remember?” I didn’t know what to say. A simple yes or no just wasn’t enough but he didn’t understand what I did for work. Luckily, I was called by the portrait. “McGonagall’s NOW” Oh that’s not good I thought. The boys were no doubt in trouble yet again and Harry, Draco?
“Sorry sweetheart, I have to go. But yes, all true. I’ll see you later”. I grabbed some powder and went to the fireplace. It opened up and I managed to stumble onto a very blackened carpet.
“…What are they doing there?” Draco was in one of his moods. I could tell them from the back of his head.
“Ah Louisa, follow us, won’t you?” called Professor McGonagall. “Of course Professor, but I really don’t see the need.” I followed them anyway.
We got to the bathroom and I felt cold. As if someone had sucked all the air from me I went back into the wind. I spun into it, twirling, spinning. I stood gasping for breath in the bathroom. “Louisa Snape!” cried a voice. I spun around. Moaning Myrtle was hovering. “if I didn’t know better, you, should be at the tournament, shouldn’t you? I would, hate for your uncle to find out… think of what you and Cedric get up to. These days.” Taunted Myrtle, “You wouldn’t dare!” I cried in shock, “and anyway you know nothing!”. “Nothing? When I so casually spend my time in the pipes. What could I find other than two mischievous teenagers hiding out.” I was getting angry “leave me alone Myrtle!”.
