Whatever you do, don't blink.
Chapter 1
They say, DoN't BlInK. Why not?
At night I try my best to fall asleep(tick, tick, tick...) but the voices in my head keep me awake(tick, tick, tick...)
Under my bed is not a monster but my mother yelling at my older brother...(swoosh...)
I feel like something is different. Something has changed. I feel like maybe I'm different, but somehow the same.
Am I being watched? Was that MY cat? I don't have a cat...or do I?
My friends are dating. Or are they just pretending? Or am I just finding a solution for my love for one of them?
A ship full of gravestones. Or are they just rocks with names on them? Or am I still dreaming?
A social media where no one is social. What is the point? A place to be where their is no one. Who is REALLY there?
Are people ignoring me, or am I just lonely? Or both? Or neither? I must be dreaming...
I stare. It's still there, staring me in the face. Stupid past. Doesn't it know it shouldn't do that?
A girl in a polka-dot dress is staring at my left hand. I hold it up. A ring. Why a ring?
I blink. Everything is gone.
