Sorting Percy Jackson Characters into Hogwarts Houses
If you didn’t know, Percy Jackson and the Olympians is the first (of many) series written by Rick Riordan. It is about the kids of the Greek Gods. I’m sorting some of the main characters in the first series into Hogwarts Houses. *WARNING!* Contains major spoilers!
Percy Jackson - Gryffindor! Percy is brave beyond measure and would do anything for his friends and loved ones. His fates flaw however is loyalty, a true Hufflepuff quality. But in the end I think Percy belongs in Gryffindor, due to his bravery.
Annabeth Chase - Ravenclaw! Annabeth was really hard to decide. She kind of fits into all of the houses. She’s brave, prideful and ambitious. She is also extremely loyal, even to Luke! But Annabeth is the smartest demigod in the whole series. She is literally the daughter of the goddess of wisdom and becomes the official architect for Mt. Olympus.
Grover Underwood - Hufflepuff! Grover is so loyal and kind to everyone. He is pretty shy and honestly just the sweetest character. Definitely a Hufflepuff!
Luke Castellan - Slytherin! Luke is Slytherin through and through. Ambitious and cunning, Luke gave his body over to Kronos. He forced Silena to spy for Kronos, threatening to hurt her boyfriend if she didn’t cooperate. In the end he sacrificed himself to stop Kronos, but Luke is very much a Slytherin.
Thalia Grace - Gryffindor! Gryffindors are often reckless, but very brave. That is very much Thalia. She sacrificed herself to save Luke, Annabeth, and Grover. That’s something only a true Gryffindor would do.
Nico Di Angelo - Slytherin! Nico is a bit of every house, but I feel like he’d get along well with the Slytherin’s (imagine him and Draco being bffs). He is cunning, ambitious, resourceful, and a great leader. He restlessly hunts Percy down in book 4, blaming him for Bianca’s death. He also comes up with the idea for Percy to bathe in the River Styx.
Tyson - Hufflepuff! Tyson may be brave, but his key qualities are kindness, empathy, and loyalty. He is so loyal to Percy, and even volunteers to go with Grover to look for Pan (in book 4), though he is terrified of him. Hufflepuff through and through.
Rachel Elizabeth Dare - Ravenclaw! Like Annabeth, Rachel is a close tie between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. She is brave, but also extremely creative. Rachel almost always wears paint splattered jeans, proving she is an artist. Rachel is very brave, becoming the Oracle, but I think she’s a Ravenclaw.
Clarisse La Rue - Gryffindor! Clarisse is very stubborn, and very brave. She can be a bit hotheaded, and especially in the first book, quite mean. But in the end she proves herself and her bravery, by fighting and killing the Drakon.
Charles Beckendorf - Gryffindor! Beckendorf literally sacrificed himself for Percy and the fight against Kronos. He was very loyal, but was brave enough to sacrifice his life.
Silena Beauregard - Gryffindor! Silena was really hard for me to decide on. I think many people would put her in Slytherin, due to her being the spy for Kronos. But Luke told her that he would hurt her boyfriend if she didn’t cooperate. She also sacrificed herself, and was able to convince the Ares cabin to come fight. That takes bravery.
Ethan Nakamura - Slytherin! When Percy, Annabeth, and Rachel saved his life, Ethan left them to join Kronos. A Gryffindor would never do that. In the end, he was brave, sacrificing himself to save Percy, but I think he’s still a Slytherin, due to his ambition and cunning.
Zoë Nightshade - Ravenclaw! Zoë is very smart, though also very loyal to Artemis and the Hunt. She seems to always know what’s happening, and was kind of able to figure out the meaning of the prophecy in book 3. I know she sacrificed herself, a very Gryffindor thing to do, but I think Zoë is a Ravenclaw.
Bianca Di Angelo - Gryffindor! Bianca is very brave. She sacrificed herself to save the quest group in book 3, and basically raised Nico. She is also very loyal, but I think her main quality is bravery.
Anyways, there you go. I sorted the main characters from the first Percy Jackson series into their Hogwarts houses. Post on my wall (https://www.hogwartsishere.com/942060/) or post in the HDN readers group (https://www.hogwartsishere.com/groups/34736/) whether or not you agree with my choices!
