Alohamora:
used to open and unlock simple doors. However, it cannot effect locks that use Muggle "electricity" In goblin it means "friendly to theives".
Astrictus:
Used to stick things together. not to be confused with the permanant sticking charm, this charm is by no means permanent. Strength and longitevity depend on the amount of concentration put into the charm.
Diffendo:
Physically damages the target by ripping, tearing, or shredding. Is generally limited to cutting cloth and does not work well against flesh.
Flipendo:
The knockback spell. Causes target to fly backwards.
IncendioConjures fire. the size and heat of the fire depends on the users concentration, from lighting candles, to sending out fireballs in battle. Should be used with extreme caution.
Locomoter:
Used to move objects. is always be used with the name of the target at which the wand is pointed (eg: Locomoter trunk!) . Causes named object to rise in the air and move around at the users will.
Lumos:
Causes the users wand tip to light up. Coloration can range from white to red depending on spell charging. Opposite incantation, Nox extinguises it.
Lumos Maxima:
Shoots a powerful ray of light, as bright as the sun. Very useful for fighting Devils Snare.
Lumos Solem:
Shoots a ball of light at the place the wand is pointed.
Mucus Ad Nauseam:
Causes an head cold and extremely runny nose.
Nox:
Extinguishes its twin spell, Lumos.
Petrificus Totalus:
While not usually taught by teachers, students will often learn from older pupils, or books. Binds the target in a stiff stance, like a soldier at attention. After a few seconds they will usually fall down.
Reparo:
Repairs recently broken objects. When used the pieces will fly back together. Does not cause objects inside to return.
Spongify:
Softens the target and gives it a rubbery feeling. using on animals or humans will soften skin or fur slightly. cannot be used on stone and most metals.
Vermillious:
A very basic spell, It shoots bright red sparks. often used for signaling.
Verdimillious:
The twin spell of Vermillious. Shoots green sparks. these are slightly more powerful then the red, and therfore more useful in a duel. Stings can be quite painful and can disoriate.
Wingardium Leviosa:
Levitates and moves the target.
