Alias: Devil's Snare

Back to the deadly plants, and none better to start with than Devil's Snare! Used quite a bit for assassinations, as victim Boderick Bode would be unlucky enough to tell you, this plant also likes to hide out in dark areas and wait for prey. Once caught in it's grasp, this plant will tighten the vines that will wrap around you until you finally succumb to asphyxiation. Devil's Snare good for guarding, though the Ministry of Magic does regulate where this plant can be placed (Not within ten hundred meters of muggle habitation). The danger surrounding this plant is very real, to the point that a poem was written about it:

   It's deadly fun, but will sulk in the sun...

Sunlight Levels: None at All

Additional Notes: Will thrive in dark, damp areas. To keep in a boundary, have light exposed where you want it to stop. Has to be grown from a cutting of a living specimen.
