Chapter 11: Gurdyroot
Chapter 11
Name: Gurdyroot
Alias: None
Tasting almost as foul as Polyjuice Potion and smelling worse than a troll, the gurdyroot does not have many known uses other than for protection potions. In fact, the only slightly prominent one is for the creation of gurdyroot infusions, a drink said by famous magizoologist Luna Scamander to ward off Gulping Plimpies. Though, the existence of these Plimpies is widely disputed.
Growing Conditions:
pH Level: 5.00-8.4 (Variable, as long as enough nutrients are in the soil)
Water Level: Moderate
Sunlight Level: Variable (With a large amount, can grow up to 15 cm)
Additional Notes: A very adaptive plant, these are quite easy to produce. Only true issue is that bugs will attack it based off of smell. Protection charms are the best solution (ex. "Nonperiurabis")
