The Ministry

Chapter 2
Instead of my usual entrance I went in the telephone box, and dialled 62442. A voice said “Good evening Louisa Weasley. You are needed in the Meeting Room on Level 1.” I was not surprised, when I arrived to find Harry Potter, Ron Granger-Weasley, Hermione Granger-Weasley, Ginny Potter and Draco Malfoy all standing around looking anxious.

“Ah Louisa, Excellent.” Hermione, the Minister for Magic seemed to have been waiting for me. “I thought you’d get here”

“Get here? Hermione, I only just got the message from McGonagall! Draco are you ok?” My feelings were first and foremost for the boys, of course, but I was worried, I didn’t know what this would do for Draco. It seemed that Draco needed a friend and he locked with my arm his anger with the school, and Harry was clear in his face though.

“What are you not telling us Potter? My son is a follower not a leader” he was shouting “It’s clear Albus is the one who instigated this whole thing”. The looks of everyone in the room were panicked.

Ginny was clear. “Harry they’ve run away. You know it.” This was a revelation.

“Wait run away? Harry this changes everything.” I was trying to put together all my knowledge of the boys that I had known from birth. The disappearance. “The viaduct, Yorkshire. But if Albus is trying to run away he could be anywhere by now”

“I know that” he started but Draco was quick to chip in “you know what? where my son is? If you need gold” I turned and for the first time in my life I saw Draco look exactly the same as Lucius. The curl of the lip, the ice in his stare. I’ve seen it so many times but without Astoria, Draco had become more protective than ever. He left with so much pain in his face. Threatening Harry we could be back 25 years.

“Let me calm him down Harry I might get through to him.” I said running after Draco.

“DRACO WAIT!” I cried

“What are the Gryffindors going to do against a lowly Slytherin?” He snarled

“Oh Good! so it really is like being back at school I was so afraid my best friend would be unsuitable for me.” I was
really annoyed and getting more and more sarcastic by the second I couldn’t be around him when he was like this.

“My son Lou! My son! And Potter has gone and…” he was so angry and upset all at the same time I thought he would collapse in-front of me, so I grabbed him.

“What? Harry hasn’t done anything. You said it Scorpius is a follower and 100% Malfoy. I promise you.”

“I know that but it doesn’t help me find him now though does it!” he was shaking with anger. “I can’t lose him as well. Not both of them”

“I know. And we’ll find him.” I tried to be reassuring but I’m not sure how well I did. There was a funny taste in the air. Have you ever tasted Polyjuice Potion? It is horrible, and apparently different for every person that takes it. I could smell it. Or at least I could smell something that was wrong.

Is it experience or just an inherent sense of distrust in the stuff from a bygone age. It was coming from down the hall.
