What is Herbology?

Herbology is the study and usage of plants with both magical properties and no magical properties (known as 'mundane' plants).

Why is Herbology important?

Herbology is important as plants are crucial in several aspects of life, such as; Education, protection and medicine. They are also used in many potions which means wizards must be able to recognize plant-based ingredients to know the appropriate potion to use in whatever situation they find themselves in.

You should also wear the Dragon Hide Gloves mentioned earlier. A supply of Dittany is also helpful.
