Pros & Cons: Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry vs. Salem Witches' Institute
Chapter 1
Main Conflicts:
1. Ilvermorny is a boy-girl school whereas Salem is an all-girls school (hence the 'witches' part in the name)
2. Ilvermorny is an official, Ministry-approved school.
3. J.K. Rowling did not actually make Salem a canonical school of witchcraft.
4. Ilvermorny has houses, and Salem's classes are all jumbled together as a mix of students per class.
Just these four reasons can help you figure out which American school of magic you should attend.
