So that was 2012. In 2014 it was the Wizarding Major sporting event. The Quidditch World Cup. I have written about this before because it was not the first one, and I hope not the last either. Although it was an altogether different experience. The last one I went to was in 1994 and I went with my then boyfriend Cedric Diggory and his father. We met up with the Weasleys but kept mostly in another ground. It was against Ireland and Bulgaria and was incredibly thrilling to watch as, once again it took place close to home. I was around 16 at the time so about the same as Delphi was at the time. I was a Gryffindor student at Hogwarts, I had my whole life ahead of me. Viktor Krum caught the snitch however Ireland still went on to win by only a few points.

I can’t believe how different the second game was. But then again twenty years makes a big difference. We had managed to convince Delphi to come with us to Argentina and Sevie took it upon herself to teach her all about quidditch. She told her how Krum was amazing and went to Durmstrang like Delphi. Something tells me that this may have sparked her interest, his wife on the other hand was probably less enthusiastic about Delphi. Anyway, this time I went with my sister, husband and two children. At certain situations I can’t help not to get nervous. I can’t help looking around and checking people. It has become a habit I suppose. I try not to remember and yet at the same time I really want to remember, so that I don’t forget.

This time the Final was between Bulgaria and Brazil. As you can imagine we were all cheering for Bulgaria. The other members of the family that were there including, Ron, Hermione, Bill, Victoire, Teddy, Harry, Albus, James and Lily were all supporting various sides (Ginny in commentary box). It was great for everyone to be together again, and it felt as though we were all reunited. Krum caught the snitch yet again and Bulgaria won. I remember how disappointed he was last time. We had an amazing time and what a win for Bulgaria.
