Chapter 1
Welcome to Romania! The first time that there was a Weasley in Romania Charlie Weasley it was 1991. Charlie had not long since left Hogwarts and decided to continue his studies in dragonology and Care of Magical Creatures at the Romanion dragon rescue and rehabilitation centre. He became part of the team that cared for Norbeta (previously called Norbet) and brought the dragons over for the Tri-Wizard Tournament.
He spent many years in and out of Romania and the surrounding area. When the second-wizarding war started he recruited people from abroad and then fought himself. From this time he stayed in Britain for a while and worked alongside many in the Department of Magical Creatures and especially with Gringotts in the care of any dragons that they still had protecting their vaults. After a few years he returned to Romania but this time with his partner Louisa Snape and her very young sister Delphi.
And so the Weasleys were back in Romania, sort of. We lived there from roughly 2002/03. The reserve is located in the national park that is in the forest and mountains. It really is beautiful. Not exactly the sort of place for a four-year-old but we managed.
Whilst we were there we took the opportunity to visit other places such as an Albanian Forest that I knew fairly well and had wanted to go back to. It was only another three-hundred miles from The Retezat National Park. I would like to say that considering everything the Ministries that we have worked with have always been very accommodating.

I went back with Delphi for longer holidays than Charlie. Almost living in two countries simultaneously. It was trick but in 2004 we ended up getting married and in 2006 we made our next big move to Sweden. I will say that because Delphi and I speak pareltongue, we seem to find learning languages a lot easier than other people. English is also not my first language and I always said that I was just about able to understand the students of Durmstrang when they spoke slowly in either Romanian, Bulgarian or Swedish simply because of being able to speak elvish. Perhaps we are just able to adapt quicker. I find that Elvish is more similar to Romanian in sound but the expression is very different. I was happy living in a forest. It really brought out my roots, so to speak.
