Hazel Alwyn was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA in 1984 to a muggle mother and wizard father. At the age of 5, her family relocated to London, England due to her father's recent employment at the British Ministry of Magic. Hazel graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 2001 as Head Girl and a prefect. She was then accepted by the Ministry as an assistant in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. After over ten years of service, Hazel resigned in late 2013 to fulfill a dream of traveling the world and meeting every creature in Newt Scamander's "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them".
