Chapter 3
When Fleur and I were sorting out invitations it made me cry. I thought of all the people that would not be there, all the people that we had lost. She asked me a very simple question. Imagine you are 17 years old.
Who would you invite? In a perfect world.
My mother and father, uncle severus, my grandparents. (all dead) maybe elves too.
His parents, and family (all alive), Charlie, (at this she laughed), George, Fred, Gert, Tonks, Sirius, Professor Dumbledore, Draco, Narcissa, Hagrid, Lupin, McGonagall, Mr and Mrs Weasley, Ron, Hermione, Ginny. I didn’t know, I wanted people from the Order of the Phoenix and Death Eaters I wanted people that weren’t here. She understood.
And she understood what I needed. She talked me out of having portraits of people and said that it was a celebration of a union together and everything that it holds. Not a funeral. I’m glad she did. These were just some of the people we managed to arrange a portkey from Romania for some friends to come over and we had many elves cross over, as they felt it appropriate to celebrate for a fellow elf. Now Fleur understands how I felt at her wedding.
To everyone that came we would like to thank you once again for your love and the memories that you have given us. We know that for some it was a very difficult day, and we will think of those that were not there. Thank you to our families and friends for all they did for us. It meant a lot to us.
