Our name
Hey readers!
So, you may be wondering… if our name is the Hogwarts Daily News, and we are not publishing daily for the school year, should we change our name? The answer is no, as of now, we are not changing our name. We are the HDN and even though we aren’t publishing daily for the school year, we will be keeping our name, because we have been together as the HDN and no other name will do!
So that was just something to tell you guys :) As always, we appreciate the support that you give us, please spread the word about the HDN.

Veritaserum: The truth potion
Veritaserum is strictly controlled by the Ministry of Magic. Producing this potion requires a lunar cycle that is 28 days. It was used on many occasions in Hogwarts history, as well as in the Battle of Hogwarts.
This potion will make you tell the truth will under its hold.
Side effects:
There are no known side effects for Veritaserum.

Amortentia (Love Potion) Recipe
Amortentia: also known as love potion. Made to create fake love (or obsession) but similar to the real one. Here is a muggle recipe for this mystifying potion.
Ingredients:
2 hibiscus tea bags
2 cups of water 16 oz; 500ml
1/2 cup lemonade 4 oz; 120 ml
2 teaspoons of honey
2-3 drops of vanilla extract
Instructions:
Put a kettle on the stove, and bring the water to a boil. Add the tea bags, dissolve the honey and add the vanilla. Stir and let cool for 15 minutes.
Remove the tea bags and refrigerate for an hour.
To serve, pour half the tea (8 oz, 250 ml) and half the lemonade (2 oz, 60 ml) into a glass and add ice to serve. Alternatively, pour the mixture into individual vials / bottles.

Chocolate Frog Memories
We all love the fun, collectable chocolate frog cards! But did you wonder if the Golden Trio earned their place among Albus Dumbledore and the others on the chocolate frog cards? Yes they did! Harry, Ron, and Hermione all got their own Chocolate Frog cards. Wouldn’t it be great to have your name and picture (moving picture!) on a chocolate frog card? I bet Ron was ecstatic!
