Der Endsieg
written by Kiara N. Midgard
Death Korp Commissar, Cromwell Hogenmiller, with what remains of his 32nd Regiment of Krieg must hold the outpost, for as long as the Emperor wills it. There will be no survivors. (Note: Jack Reynolds is one of my many pen names, I did not steal this, nor would I ever steal someone's work. You can also find my story on Wattpad.)

Chapter 1
Heavy rain pattered harshly above them. The crackle of guns ominously roared in the distance, as the assault on their position drew ever closer. The Korpsmen look toward the outside of the trench bunker, before looking back at their Commissar. Calmly, Hoggenmiller tossed aside his cigarette and placed his rebreather back on, before looking towards them all.
"Get your supplies," Hoggenmiller ordered carefully, "and take only the medkits and ammo. Burn the rest."
The Korpsmen nodded in silence, unafraid of what laid before them. As they gathered their munitions and medkits, they acknowledged that this is suicide, but they must buy time until the reinforcements arrive. They will not give in until the last man dropped dead, for the Will of the Emperor is within them even now. Just then, the sound of artillery thundered in their proximity. Then, for Hoggenmiller, there was a silent darkness.
(Note: This is, again, a Prologue, and preview into the later events.)
