Chapter 23

Bubotuber

Bubotubers release gas-scented yellow pus when squeezed, and look
like large black slugs. The pus must be diluted but is then useful for
treating acne. Undiluted pus is dangerous and causes rashes and burns.
The pus also loses its scent over time and can be hidden within things;
watch out for pranks! All Herbologists handling this plant should wear Dragon-hide Gloves at all times.

Dragon Dung is recommended for fertilizer, and it needs very little sunlight and heat.

To dilute the pus to safe levels, mix it with Dittany in liquid form, or Gillywater.

First Aid

Cleanse the rash or burn with cold, clear water, before applying Dittany to the area. Pain potions are also recommended.
