Chapter 1

The Encyclopaedia Herbologic: Year 1

This Encyclopaedia is the sum total of all the plants and information one can statistically organize from Year One Herbology. As such it is meant to be a resource and tool for those taking the class, in supplement to their Textbook, as things are organized alphabetically and topically and therefore are meant to be easier to find for a student searching for a particular plant, topic or attribute.

The Encyclopaedia is not meant to replace the textbook or be copy-pasted into assignments in any way, and should students be caught plagiarizing from it the appropriate measures are encouraged to be taken by Herbology Professors and PAs.

How to Use the Encyclopaedia

The main Encyclopaedia is split into four sections: Attributes; Plant Care; Plants, Indexed; and Protective Gear.

Attributes is a way to look up plants by certain aspects of
them, including whether or not they are dangerous, pH level of soil they
grow in, etc.

In Plant Care one can find various types of soil, as well as explanations of the basics of plant care (sun, water, etc).

Under Plants, Indexed, one can find every plant in Year One
Herbology, which have been cross-indexed by properties and care, as well
as a summary of each plant.

In Protective Gear, one can find the basic gear every Herbologist should have in a greenhouse.
