All clubs with a stated purpose of gathering students to engage in philosophical discussions or debates, or to handle or discuss social issues in both the Wizarding and Muggle world can be located in this chapter. You will also find book clubs here. If you feel that your club has been placed in this chapter by accident, please owl the editor with the correction and it will be relocated within 24 hours. Clubs are listed alphabetically by name.

• Book Club (#25,221), led by Ashley McLaughlin. A club for students interested in reading for pleasure and discussing their book. Books are planned to be set every 1-2 weeks, ready for discussion the following week.

• Book club!!! (#27,292), led by Heather Barnes. A club where, every 2-3 weeks, they plan to choose a book for club members to read and discuss. Suggestions for which book is next is encouraged.

• Care of Creatures (#31,166), led by Madeleine Bradford. A club where you can learn to control pests, have magical pets, and more.

• Color Identity Club! (#29,424), led by André L. A club for students to discuss their color identity and how it relates to their daily lives. They also discuss the color identities of other people, whether fictional, historical, or contemporary.

• Debate Team (#27,943), led by Kacii Hamer. A club for all those who love to debate and argue.

• Feminist Club (#27,218), led by Kacii Hamer. A club where all feminists can unite and discuss daily worldly issues involving feminism.

• Hogwarts Book Club! (#25,189), led by Kenzi Granger. A club for anyone who loves getting lost in the realm of books. Primarily an open discussion club, this group also plans to read one book per month and discuss it. Their last book was for the month of September; Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman.

• Hogwarts Creature Committee (#25,105), led by Professor Elizabeth Anne. A club for any creature fanatic. Regularly plans fun activities around the creatures of the Wizarding World, hosts discussions on creature issues, and allows for excited fan-girling on all your favorites.

• Hogwarts Debate Club (#27,210), led by Stephen Fogarty. A club for respectful debates on Wizarding social issues and the HP source material. They also have a tumblr page.

• Hogwarts Library Chat (#25,433), led by Hap Malfoy. A club to discuss books, lessons, courses, and other Library-appropriate topics. Caps Lock, or shouting, is not allowed.

• Hogwarts-Wide Book Club (#26,672), led by Alexandra Weasley. A club for all book series or fandoms, welcoming students with a love of reading.

• Ingredients Aware (#29,661), led by Isabel Moonsparks. A club for students concerned with the ethical and moral ramifications of obtaining potions ingredients as a result of the slaughter and/or mistreatment of various creatures. They offer safe, helpful suggestions on how to get necessary ingredients ethically, and promote research into viable substitutes for ingredients obtained/farmed/harvested in unacceptable ways.

• Knights of Librarium (#31,687), led by Sid Harris. A book club that votes monthly on a book to read, and hosts monthly discussions on it. They are currently reading Night Circus by Erin Morgestern for the month of April. They also use a FaceBook group to help aid communication and remind members of scheduled meeting times. While club chats are down, they use a chatzy to host meetings.

• S.P.E.W. (#25,106), led by Professor Elizabeth Anne. The Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare is the place to discuss all concerns on the topic of House Elf rights. Each week, the club hosts new activities and discussion prompts.

• Wizarding Philosophy Club (#27,914), led by Professor Autumn Maddox. An inter-House club for the pondering and discussion of philosophical topics.
