Chapter 3
By this time, he had made it to the castle but I was still in the forest running towards the school. He was greeting people, people I’d never met, I couldn’t understand it. The last time I saw Hagrid he had left with Harry, limp in his arms, now there was no Harry, Nagini was dead and Neville had a sword. What on earth had I just arrived to? I wanted to find my father to tell him to stop. Then I heard it.

“YOU DON’T GET IT DO YOU!!!”

It was Harry. My father, everyone, all cursing each other, hoping that they would be safe. I don’t know if I distracted him or what happened. But I was standing there.

“TRY FOR SOME REMORSE RIDDLE!”

I saw his eyes glance at me. In that moment I felt no remorse. He had done too much to be forgiven.
Perhaps this is my forgiveness. Proof that I loved my father and that he maybe, just maybe wanted to say sorry to me.

In that moment we had the hallows. We may not have been masters of death but we had the hallows.

My father died. This time I saw it. I watched them lay his body in another room. I am possibly the only person to have mourned his death. That’s ok. As the sun rose, I walked away. I had lost my family, my friends and didn’t know what to do or where to go. My time was over. Like the stone I knew that one day I would find my path but for now, pain was my only friend.
