She knew roughly where they must be before she opened her eyes. This was one of the coastal places they visited at school. She could smell the salt water, hear the water lapping at the sand. If she had to guess it would be Rum National Nature Reserve. Charlie always talked about that one. She opened her eyes.

“Is this Rum island?”

“Haven’t I got any surprises left for you?” She shook her head. Sorry. But you spent all Christmas talking about it.

He held up his hands. “Fine, fine.”

She smiled “it’s beautiful”. The time they spent there was wonderful. Louisa finally started to relax, to breathe. She was smiling for what seemed like the first time in a very long time. She wanted to let her uncle know that she would be alright. She wanted him to know. She wanted Tonks and Lupin to know that they would be ok, she wanted her father and Nagini to know. There were so many people that she hadn’t even realised.

“I will come back, I just…can’t right now. Do you understand?” she said. As she nestled into his arm

“I get it. I do. Can I at least tell them you are ok?” she nodded.

“Tell Bill he can send an owl, it’s safer. I don’t know who is looking for me.”

“Looking for you? You’re an Auror!”

“Hmm not like I have the best track record though is it. How many people know about my father now?”

He looked sheepish, running his hands through his hair. “Everyone, but if Bellatrix couldn’t kill you then you’re fine!”

“Yeah she couldn’t when he was alive. But he isn’t now so I’m probably just like everyone else”

“Mortal then” he smiles hoping to lighten the mood

She punches him smiles and resumes her position. It was hours before he suddenly said “I should really get back; they are probably waiting for me. Will you go to Shell Cottage?”

“At some point” came her reply.

He left for home.
