The Third Floor Corridor

Chapter 9
The newly formed group of friends made their way to the Gryffindor Common Room. Suddenly the staircases changed, confusing the group.

“Hurry, let’s take this one before they move again.” Renè said, walking up a staircase. The others followed her and Ron decided to open a door and walk inside. The others reluctantly followed him.

“Uhm I don’t think we’re supposed to be here…” Ron said.

“Of course we aren’t! Do you know where we are?” Hermione replied.

Renè bit the inside of her lip. “The third floor corridor.” she murmured, quietly. Renè jerked her head around as she saw movement. “Ugh, Mrs.Norris, come on.” she said, walking off fastly to another door. The others followed her. When they reached the door, it was locked.

“It’s locked. We’re doomed.” Ron said. Hermione and Renè rolled their eyes.

“Oh, move over!” Hermione said, pushing Ron out of the way. “Alohomora.” she said and the door unlocked. The group walked in.

“Alohomora?” Ron questioned.

“Standard book of spells, chapter seven.” Renè said and nodded.

“Umm guys, the door was locked for a good reason…” Harry said. The others locked up and saw a three headed dog. They all screamed before running out and locking the door again. They left the room and started walking to the Gryffindor Common Room.

“Why do they keep something like that locked up in a school?” Ron asked.

Hermione sighed. “Can’t you see? It was standing on something.” she pointed out.

“Oh, sorry, I was too preoccupied with the heads. In case you didn’t notice there were 3!” Ron said. Harry and Renè broke down laughing. Hermione and Ron rolled their eyes, confused why their other two friends broke down laughing so suddenly.

The group of friends made it to the Gryffindor Common Room after a while. The group walked up towards the dormitories, in almost complete silence.

“Now, if you two don’t mind, I’m going to bed. Before either of you come up with another clever idea to get us killed or worse-expelled.” Hermione said to the boys before turning to Renè. “Are you coming too?”

Renè shook her head. “Homework.” She muttered and winked at Harry and Ron. Hermione nodded and walked off to the Girl’s Dormitories.

“She needs to sort out her priorities.” Ron said. Harry shrugged and Renè rolled her eyes.

“You guys want to hang out? Because I have to do my ‘homework’.” Renè said and smirked. The boys shrugged and for a few more hours the three friends were laughing and talking in the Common Room.
