The Normal Boy
Chapter 4
The Weasley family was making their way to Platform 9 ¾. René and Ron were talking fastly and nervously as the other pair of twins were laughing as hard as possible. The oldest child of the group, however, thought the two pairs of twins were very annoying. René was overwhelmed with the fact of trying to hatch her owl egg she had found and control her wandless magic. Ron on the other hand was worried René wouldn’t be able to control herself or anything.
“Alright kids! We’re here! Now Percy you first.” Mrs.Weasley said. The oldest of the children ran through the barrier between Platforms 9 and 10. Mrs.Weasley smiled slightly before turning to the older pair of twins.
“Fred, you next.” she said.
“I’m not Fred! He is!” One of the twins said. The other rolled his eyes.
“Honestly, woman, you call yourself our mother.” the other said.
Mrs.Weasley sighed and shook her head. “Sorry George.”
“I’m only kidding. I am Fred.” The first twin said with a smirk before running through the barrier, closely followed by the other. Ron and René stepped forward, just as a boy with messy hair and round glasses walked up.
“Excuse me, can you tell me how to…” The boy said, motioning towards the barrier. Ron’s eyes widened and he nudged René.
“That's him. That's the boy who lived!” he whispered to René. René rolled her eyes and gave Ron a look that clearly read “Either way, he’s just a normal boy! Now stop your staring.”
Mrs.Weasley explained to the boy how to get onto platform 9 ¾ and then sent René and Ron through the barrier also. After the kids said Goodbye to their mother and younger sister they boarded the train. This certainly was going to be an interesting year, for everyone.
