Polyjuice Potion
Chapter 23
A lot had happened since Renè had come back. The group of friends had made polyjuice potion to question Draco Malfoy, everyone was saying Harry was the heir of Slytherin, Renè kept zoning out, and there was another attack. They had thought the year previous was bad, but this year was much worse.
At the moment, Renè was zoned out while staring at a wall and the other three were rewiring their plan for the Polyjuice Potion. Since they really only needed 3 people to talk to Malfoy, Renè was just going to get them to the dungeons and get them inside. And if anything went wrong, renè would help. Other than that Renè wasn’t really a part of the plan. Hermione and Renè left the Great Hall and Harry and Ron were left to get the hair they needed from Crabbe and Goyle.
Once the hair was collected, they drank their potions. Ron and Hermione had rushed to stalls, but Harry had just stayed by the sink. Renè was outside of the bathroom, since Moaning Myrtle was holding a long lasting grudge against her and would not let Renè in the bathroom at all.
Once the three who took the potion were done changing, Hermione said she didn’t want to go. This left Ron and Harry to find the Slytherin Common Room on their own while Renè tried to figure out what was wrong with Hermione.
Ron and Harry found out hardly anything about the Chamber of Secrets, other than it was opened fifty years ago and that a muggle born died when it was opened. Disappointed that they hadn’t got anywhere, they headed back to Moaning Myrtle’s bathroom. Hermione was still locked in the same stall and Renè was nowhere to be seen.
“Hermione? What’s wrong? And where’s Renè?” Harry asked.
“All I know is that if she left it must’ve been a while ago when there was a loud crash. And remember how I told you guys that polyjuice isn’t to be used with animals?”
“Yeah?” The boys replied.
“Well…” Hermione said, opening the stall door. She looked like she was half cat. Ron tried his best to suppress a chuckle.
“Look at my face.” Hermione said, miserably.
“Look at your tail.” Ron said, smirking slightly.
Harry and Ron took Hermione to the Hospital Wing and then made their way to the Gryffindor Common Room. Renè was still nowhere to be found then either, to much of their disappointment (more Harry’s than Ron’s).
