Nicolas Flamel
Chapter 12
Renè, Hermione, Ron, and Harry were sitting in the library, looking for who Nicholas Flamel was. It was a while after Winter Break and the group of friends were reunited. Renè was asleep with her head rested on a book, Ron looked like he was about to fall asleep, Harry was frustrated and bored, and Hermione was having the time of her life.
“How could I be so stupid? I checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading.” Hermione said, dropping a large book onto the table. Renè jerked awake and sighed.
“You call that light?” Ron questioned, earning a glare from Hermione. Renè sighed and muttered, “Old couple.”
“Anyway, it says here, ‘Nicholas Flamel is a famous french alchemist, who is the only known creator of the sorcerer's stone’!” Hermione whispered-yelled. Renè yawned.
“So Snape wants to find the sorcerer-wait, isn’t that like the achelier of life or something?” Renè said, boredly.
Hermione nodded. “That’s what Snape’s after then.” Harry said and the group of friends stood up and went to go to the one person they knew might tell them more, Hagrid.
“He better tell us something, so that we can figure this all out. I think I heard some people saying Dumbledore was going to be going somewhere tomorrow night or something.” Renè said.
“And that’s probably when Snape is going to take charge.” Harry muttered. Renè nodded and Hermione sighed.
“Whoever said Snape was doing ANYTHING?” Hermione asked.
“We did.” Harry and Renè said with a simple shrug.
“They did.” Ron said with a smirk.
Hermione rolled her eyes. “You have no pr-”
“He hates EVERYONE, other than Malfoy and his goons. So honestly, he probably is plotting something.” Renè said. Hermione sighed, deciding not to argue.
When they found Hagrid they all let out a deep sigh of relief.
“Hagrid, did you tell ANYONE how to get past Fluffy?” Renè asked.
Hagrid thought for a moment. “Well, yeah, sorta.”
“What did they look like? And why did you tell them?” Renè asked.
Hagrid started going on and on about the person and what he told the person. Renè listened closely, as did Hermione. Ron and Harry seemed bored after a while, but continued listening. After Hagrid finished, the four kids rushed off towards the third floor corridor, clearly not knowing the risk and danger that they were about to encounter.
