You would have thought that I would have seen them but it wasn’t until the Summer of 1998 that I finally met the Dursleys, and I didn’t meet them in Little Whinging. I met them close to Cokeworth in a nursing home. At the time I would have had long black hair and very pale skin. I was coming to visit my grandfather and tell him that his son and only remaining child had died. He didn’t know much about it and I would rather it stayed that way.

Vernon Dursley: When I saw Mr Dursley, I had never met anyone so unable to control their appetite as him. That was until I saw the son, Dudley. He had blond hair, a large moustache that rivalled Professor Slughorn and jumped out of his skin when he saw me. You could say that I popped out of nowhere and he was already a little worse for wear by the looks of it. The fog and the battle seemed to have taken its toll on the Muggles in all of us.

Petunia Dursley: There is a difference between realising that these are the people that tormented your friend and realising that this woman knew my uncle’s face, my mother’s face. That moment is the moment that I found the strangest. She had a long thin face and was looking at the nursing home as if it was contagious. For all I know in Cokeworth it could well have been. She took one look at me huffed and straightened the jacket on her son. There wasn’t much she could say about my clothes. I had a black dress on and probably looked like I had been to a funeral.

Dudley Dursley: He has blond hair and was fatter beyond fat. I believe everything Harry ever said about him. Not that that was much. The little time I have ever spent with him face to face we just ignore each other. I have always wanted to sort out the tail but that seems to be a tale for another day. It was Dudley who had realised that I was a witch and started trying to tell his mother but by this time they were registered and taken through to their relative.
