Chapter 4
As Albus walked out, he saw the most magnificent building he had ever seen. Towers stood far above the night sky, filled with yellow lights and the sound of merry laughter that echoed all the way to the lake. It was illuminating the dark night sky. A huge man at the front of the crowd of students bellowed,
"Hello everyone! My name is Hagrid! I am the gamekeeper of Hogwarts and I will be helping to teach Quidditch along with Madam Hooch for you first-years! Now, lets form into groups of 8 and get into a boat. We will be rowing boats in order to get to Hogwarts. Hurry up, we don't want to be late for dinner!"
Everyone formed into groups. Rosie came right away. Roxanne, Albus's cousin, came over to their group along with Cassandria Longbottom, Ceasar Boot, Harry Corner, and a boy Albus did not know.
"I'm Taylor Hensworth. I came from a Muggle family. This will be my first year at Hogwarts." Taylor seemed nice enough, in Albus's opinion, but something was a little odd about him. Something fishy. Something that seemed to be hidden about him. But he just brushed off the thought and smiled.
"Hi! My name's Albus Potter."
"Potter? As in Harry Potter?"
"Yeah, Harry Potter is my father."
"Wow! That's pretty cool! I just come from a family of businessmen. Not as cool as yours though." Albus blushed, thinking of what to say next. Everyone had said that on the bus when he introduced himself, but he never knew what to say, not wanting to brag or make others feel bad.
"I bet your family's pretty cool too." Albus face-palmed himself in his mind. 'That was really cheesy, Albus.'
Luckily, he was saved by Hagrid escorting them to the nearest boat.
"Aye, Albus! Looks jus' like yer' father. I'm expectin' much from yer' in Quidditch, aye?" He let out a merry laugh. "Just joking wit' yer'." Albus smiled and hopped onto the floating boat along with Taylor.
