Chapter 29
"Not right now, James." Draco stepped out of the shadows.
"Excuse me?"
"Not right now. We will take him back to the Forest."
"The F-for-r-res-s-t-t-t?" Albus stuttered. Malfoy revealed his Death Killer tatoo and put his two fingers to it. He screamed in pain just as five other Death Killers appeared. They grabbed Albus and managed to keep him still despite his flailing arms and legs.
"Join us, Potter. And nothing bad will happen to you. You are a very strong wizard inside. You just need to discover what your powers are. With us, you will be able to find your powers and become a true legend. Trust me."
"No, Professor."
"Don't you DARE call me Professor! Call me the Dark Lord or the Master of Kidnapping!" Albus chuckled.
"Master of Kidnapping? Professor, isn't that a silly name?"
"You think it's funny? Well, try laughing at this. Greyback, bring them in." Greyback vanished into the forest and returned in a flash. In his hands were the arms of three people. Cassandria, Ceasar, and Harry. Malfoy combed his hair back with his fingers and took a long sigh. He pulled his own hands toward himself. Albus was lifted up into the air and was dragged towards Malfoy. He clawed at his neck which was held by an invisible cuff.
"Hai han't hreath! Het he goh!" Albus's face was slowly turning purple.
"I know you can't breath, Albus. So that's why I want you to become a Death Killer. We'll keep you safe the whole way. We won't cause any harm to you anymore."
"No!"
"Really? You don't want to find your powers? What about all those failures? What about that broom jinx?"
"Hat hwah hu?"
"Of course! Now, join us. This is my last time asking! Or else, your friends go." He pointed over to Cassandria, Harry, and Ceasar.
Albus was about to burst. He thought about saving everyone and turning to the Dark side. But then he thought about all the happy memories he had with his friends and family. Albus remembered a sunny day a few years ago. He and Colton had made a special handshake.
He had said, "Albus, no matter what happens, this handshake means that we will always be best friends forever. I will always be there to help you. You'd do that for me, right?" Surely, he couldn't let that go. Albus had to save Colton. He had agreed to always help him and he thought there was nothing moe shameful than breaking an oath to a friend.
"Albus! Don't fall for it!" Cassandria shouted. "They can kill us, but you need to stay! Save yourself and others! And let u-"
"Quiet!" snarled Melvis as he held his wand against Cassandria's neck.
"Phofessher?"
"What?" Malfoy said in an irritated voice.
"Hai hink hai've haredhe hound my phowers!" Albus gathered all the power he had remaining before passing out. He thrust his hands at Malfoy, close, but not touching him and blew him back with a force so strong, it knocked everyone else down.
Albus dropped down and took a long breath. As his face returned to normal color, he grinned at his hands. Maybe this wasn't such a bad year after all.
