Chapter 24
"Careful when you walk through the door Albus," said his gentle mother, "James and the Death Killers set a couple of jinxes."
"Okay mum," replied Albus.
He was surprised that his mother had the wit to say James' name. His father, Lily, and he wasn't so good at it. His dad removed James' bedroom and his belongings. He went downstairs and then saw Lily eavesdropping on his parents. Albus decided to join her.
"We can't tell them what happened, Ginny!" said his father in a tight whisper.
"What can't he tell us, Mum?" asked Lily. She came out from behind the door. "Can't tell us what?" she repeated.
"Honey, it's nothing. We've got everything under control."
"I know that you're hiding something. It's okay. Please just tell me."
"Lily, as you know, something has been going on with James. We don't know what, but he is now a threat to the wizarding community."
"Yes? I know."
"Lily, your father and the other Aurors have investigated what has caused the Hogwarts students to become Death Killers.
"Now, Ginny. Be sensible and let me handle it. I will figu-"
"No, Harry. Lily can know. Now, as I was saying, the Aurors investigated and found out that a rare gem that can only be found by a true magician, is now in the hands of the Death Killers. That stone is also known as the Posessor Gem."
Lily gasped. "Mum! The REAL Posessor Gem? We learned about that at school! It can control a huge amount of people to do tasks!"
"Yes, Lily. Your cousin Victoire has also found something out."
"What, Ginny?"
"Harry, Lily, Rosie has secretly been dating Scorpius Malfoy." Ginny said the name very slowly.
Albus didn't know how Victoire had found that out, but Albus recalled a recent memory. A few months ago, Albus was in a rush to go to classes. Without thinking, he had left the diary in the Gryffindor common room. Only one person bothered to clean up the common room. Victoire Weasley.
"Rubbish!" Harry shouted. He rose from his seat. "Rosie knows that her father does not want any contact with the Malfoys! Rosie wouldn't be stupid enough to go out with Scorpius!"
"I'm afraid so, Harry. What Albus also found out was that Rosie is helping Scorpius make the Death Killers stronger until the Ministry of Magic cannot control the wizarding world. Lily, we are in great danger."
