“Aaannnddd.... Wood takes the Quaffle from McLory and shoots it through the center goal. 10 points for Gryffindor! That’s the game, witches and wizards!” Albus and the other Gryffindors ran out onto the Quidditch field and slapped Wood on the back. Everyone cheered except for the Slytherins who were cursing the Gryffindors under their breaths. Albus found Caesar and Taylor. They screamed as loud as they could, since this victory had been the first of the Hogwarts season. Suddenly, everyone else screamed, and something told the boys this was not a victory scream. The students backed up and Taylor gasped. Albus looked down and saw who the next victim was. James was as still as a stone, his eyes open and stunned.

  Albus, Caesar, and Taylor ran into the building to find Rosie. Taylor ran off into another direction while producing a rose from his wand. Rosie had skipped the match because apparently, she had some catching up on homework to do. Albus knew it was a lie because Rosie had always done homework the moment she was assigned. Something was fishy. Caesar ran ahead and backed up. A surprised look was on his face.

  “Do you want to know what I just saw? Albus, don't tell this to your Uncle Ron.”
