Chapter 1
On the 1st of September 2020 we took the trip to Kings Cross Station and put our daughter on the Hogwarts Express. We said our goodbyes and wished her luck. I haven’t always been able to do this because of my work and where we are living. In general, there is someone in our family that starts school every year and I hope to make my way through all of them in time.
The first time I said goodbye to someone was on the 1st of September 2009. It was not however to anyone going to Hogwarts and she was the first person to start school. I wonder if you can guess who it was.
Well it was my sister. Despite what she says she did attend school, but no she didn’t attend Hogwarts. She went to Durmstrang Academy. I will address this later because I’m not sure I can take the strain.
Another one I went to was in 2017. This was quite a large celebration because not only was it the start of my nephew “Albus Severus Potter” but it was also the start of “Scorpius Malfoy”. I was there, in part to wish Scorpius luck and to be with my friends Draco and Astoria, who was already ill by this point.
I cannot say that the Malfoys are not my family, I do, they are. At the time Severina was eight and Bertie only six, so I had some small children on my hands. I split from the usual Weasley tradition of the Family Feast and went to the Malfoy Manor instead. Along with my children. Another decision you may think is unwise however to us it felt right.
