The Argument.

Chapter 1

Harry's P.O.V.

I was striding down the hall, smiling as I went. It was the week after the Tri-Wizard tournament. Although I was smiling, it still hurt to think about. I just smile to mask the pain. I felt someone pat me on the back and heard them congratulate me, but I wasnt really paying attention to anyone. I was absorbed in my thoughts. I put my head down and continued to walk towards potions. Great, a lesson with Snape. Just what I needed. I felt something shove into me, and I tumbled backwards. I landed on my ass with a loud thud, and heard someone apologising profusely. That is, until I looked up. Draco Malfoy was towering over me, a slight glare on his face. "Look where your going Potter." He sneered. I just rolled my eyes, and got up. Man, my butt cheek hurts. A little less steady on my feet, I stumbled all the way to my class.

I sat in my seat and visibly winced. I heard Draco and his possey behind me, all snickering. I bet he bragged how he 'beat me in a fight' and how I 'had to drag my sorry ass to lesson' or something like that. Man, he always blows things out of proportion. I sat all the way through lesson, hearing him talking about me like I was some sort of sewer rat.

By the end of lesson, I had had enough. He was laughing with his mates when he left, and I ran after him. I grabbed his shoulder, and spun him round. 'Ive had enough of you today!' I yelled loudly, clearly taking him by surprise. He regained his glare, and told his friends that he would meet them in the common room later. He turned back to me. "Well Potter, trying to get mouthy to me, are we? Lets remind ourselves who walked into who earlier." He sneered, a smirk covering his face. 'Whatever Malfoy, I'm just sick and tired of you laughing at me all the time! Is it really that difficult to just let it go for once?' I retorted. He looked confused for a moment, but quickly put back his smirk. "You clearly get your temper from your filthy mudblood mother, and your arrogant father." He said back cleanly. I felt the tears prick at my eyes, and looked down. My eyes shot back up when I heard him mutter something else about my family. 'ENOUGH! How dare you bring my family into this!' I screamed, the tears freely rolling down my face now. I didnt even care, I was so pissed at him. 'At least my family tried to protect me, would yours have?!' By this point, Draco was visibly flinching at every new word I hurled at him. I turned quickly on my heels and ran to my common room, ignoring the shouts of everyone asking if I was okay. Because I wasnt.

Draco's P.O.V.

Harry was right. My parents probably wouldnt have stuck up for me. My parents dont care. I was so stupid to bring his parents into this. He was right, it was my fault that he fell, and I was talking rubbish about him. His outburst scared me. Im sure he could tell that I was visibly flinching at every word he said. Every single phrase he screamed at me. I saw the hurt in his eyes, and the tears streaming down his face. Ugh, I feel awful. I turned and slowly headed back to my common room.

When I entered the common room, Crabbe and Goyle immediately ran up to me, asking if there was a fight, and if I beat him. I dismissed them with a wave of my hand, telling them some bull excuse that I was tired. I walked straight up to my room, and shut the door. I collapsed onto my bed and buried my head into my pillow. 'Why am I such an idiot?' I thought out loud. I changed into my pyjamas, and went to bed early, not even bothering to eat.
