Chapter 3
As the young girl throws on her backpack and walks to the building full of jail cells that we call ‘school’, she lets her dark hair fall past her shoulders in pitch-black sheets, covering her abnormally pale face and scars. Startlingly blue eyes, outlined darkly, look through the straight, silky strands and onto the vast, immense doors that she was going to walk through today.
What she would face there is worse than any harmful creature that anyone could possibly think of. Bracing herself and taking a deep breath, she places her hands on the doorknobs and pushes.
