To Mum, Dad and Bertie.

I had a great time on the train. I sat with people that I didn’t know and ate some chocolate frogs. I sat with Lily too. She has a friend in Hufflepuff.

I couldn’t believe how big the castle is. It’s HUGE!

We had to wait for ages, well it felt like ages and then the sorting hat sang a song. It said we had to stay strong in hard times. Bertie would like it coz it was like a riddle and then the Professor called people out. But they call you out surname first so I was last. Why are we always last?

Eventually the Professor called out Weasley, Severina, but I was the last one standing there so there wasn’t much point. Fred cheered for me though. They placed the sorting hat on my head and it was strange because it said “Strong and hearty but such a riddle you are” I’m not sure what that means. It was between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, I think.

Finally, it settled and cried out GRYFFINDOR. I was so nervous. Plus I was looking at Fred and Lily when it shouted so it made me jump. I wish you had heard the shouts from the table. James, Fred, Rose, Hugo, & Lily were all cheering. The girl I met on the train was sorted into Hufflepuff. She seems really nice. I hope we become friends. The common room looks really nice and cozy. Like a big hug. I think I will like it. My dorm is ok, people just keep asking me if I get a discount at Weasleys Wizarding Whizzes.

I want to look for Arber as well he sounds nice. But we are not allowed in the Forbidden Forest. Also, first years are not allowed on the Quidditch team.
