Amortentia
Chapter 2
Amortentia is the strongest and possibly most dangerous love potion there is. It does not create love; it merely replicates the feelings of love such as infatuation or obsession. It is distinctive for its mother-of-pearl sheen, and steam rises from the potion in spirals. It smells different to each person that comes across it. I have noticed one or two people have taken to putting it on their backstories, which while they may feel it necessary I can assure you that every time you smell this potion, due to the different age you may be at the time, you will smell different things.
For instance: when I was young, perhaps five years old, I imagine the smell of my mother’s dress-robes would have been pleasant. At the age of nine, tree bark. At 15 pumpkin pasties, 17 gunpowder smoke, 19 oak mist, 25 honey mead, 35 parchment, 40 chocolate mint etc… So, you see we change, we develop, grow. My Boggart for example used to be that of a clown, you will see it on occasions but less often now. And yet even though I know Patronuses can change, mine has always stayed the same. As though it is my one thing that is always stable… ha I only just got my own joke. My Patronus is a Granian which is a type of Winged Horse… moving on ;D
