Window Girl
Chapter 1
he was always a strange one, that old man, through my window. i never undrstood him, but then you can never really understand geniouss.my mom calls him crazy, if she knew what i thought of him she might scream.
i saw him in his garden today, he was petting one of his blue birds. this particular bird, i have noticed, has a bright green speck one its right wing. he seems to have noticed it too, as he always seems to sit with and pet that bird. i think he's named it, but i can't be sur. as he put the bird it flickrd and his hand slips through its body. he screamed before he seemed to remember the bird was not real, and with that realization he hung his head and went inside
its been weeks. i knocked on his door, and walked inside. the animals faded away yesterday, and i was afraid. he was inside, well his body was. a vial was next to him, dripping a foul black goo, and one the wall was taped a note.
window girl, i see you there. i know you will come eventually, to check if i am allright, but i am not. you see, my pets are not fully real, and i fear that like them, my mind is fading. i seem to forget that they are not living, and other times i seem to fear that they are. window girl, i see the way you look at me, you see me as a genius, and not an old fool like the others. you are wrong, and if there is one piece of advice that i can give you, it is to practice potions. transfiguration drives you mad.
