Looking back

Chapter 1
Looking back, I have regrets. Most, I am glad to say come with few repercussions but there are some that no matter which way I look, no matter how I feel, there used to be a time when everything was easy. I used to live a carefree existence. Life is never “easy” by no means am I saying that. There were times when I was sad, depressed even, but before the war, whilst I was still at Hogwarts life was different. I was different. I had holidays, someone looking after me and I was innocent.

Many of you may take the word “innocent” to mean something else but I come from a different place. A different time. I simply mean that I was under 18, I was carefree, and I had never done anything wrong.

Wrong? The daughter of Voldemort? No, I never did. When Sirius died, my uncle took to Cokeworth most of the time and I was mostly at Knockturn Alley. Fred and George had been using our place for a while until they finished making Number 93 Diagon Alley, suitable. I spent time with them over the summer it was amazing.

When I think about the times, the enjoyment, my heart skips a beat. I think of legally being able to perform magic and pushing aside thoughts of broken bridges, murders and the like. We were trying to be happy. The adult world is so much different to the child world. At every age you feel you know it all and have seen it all but I assure you something around the corner will surprise you.
