The Bad
Chapter 2
On the other side, Voldemort had given the challenge to Draco Malfoy. A Slytherin, in the year below me, Seeker for the Quidditch team. He was to kill Professor Dumbledore. My part in the affair was to act as neutral as possible. I was invisible, the inbetweener.
I suppose it was all part of the plan. Nobody is ever fully aware of the entire plan. But I went to Gringotts, I gave them a letter, in which I stated people who should inherit from me if I were to die. There had been two deaths already and there was about to be another. I had to make plans of my own. For all his bravado at school, Draco was younger than me and this was not going to be school. I knew that. My uncle knew it. I saw him break down. I saw a very different side to him than I had ever seen before. Life took Draco and I along similar tracks for my last year at Hogwarts, we experienced a life that none of the other students did. A life that leads you to the head of the Death Eater’s table.
What Dumbledore realised, and made allowances for, was that people would turn on me when they found out it was Professor Snape that had killed him. I was not to say anything, not even to Draco. He told me that I had to be ready for whatever was coming. If people found out about me being a Riddle then I would be in a more dangerous position.
I feel like I have said a lot and yet nothing at the same time. You will have to excuse me. It will come through in time, when the explanation of my work comes to an end.
