The wandmaker, Mr. Ollivander  owns a shop in Diagon Alley.He has a deep fascination and connection to wands and can in a way read or listen to what the wand tells him. He makes wands of many varieties of hardwoods and include within the wand a core of powerful magical substance from dragons, phoenices, unicorns, hippogriffs, gryphons and cockatrices. 

In recent years Mr. Ollivander has expanded his stores to overseas in Orlando, FL  to two branches there in New Hogsmeade as well as New Diagon Alley. This is because of not only expansion on his business which kicked up even more so after he was reinstated as the wandmaker and Ollivander's wand shop was rebuilt after desolation from deatheaters. A kind of hype erupted and his stores was transferred where he now hires employees who have studied wandlore to help other witches and wizards from afar find the perfect wand for them.
