Chapter 3
After lunch everyone went off to St Mungo’s and she went up to her bedroom on the 4th floor. It was just her and Sirius left in the building, but not for long. Louisa was lying on her bed staring at the ceiling when she heard the portrait of Mrs Black scream. They couldn’t be back already she thought. She looked over the stairs and saw Hermione walking up. She walked down suddenly perplexed.

“what on earth are you doing here? Aren’t you going skooing with your parents?”

Hermione chuckled “er… skiing and Dumbledore thought it best I came here. Can’t say I’m happy about it mind, and my parents are most disappointed.”

“What did you tell them?”

“well not the truth, clearly, just that I have a lot of work to do for my OWLs. Are they with him? How is he?”

“They left just after lunch. Caused quite the commotion. Molly says he’s ALIVE but I’m just taking that to mean wait and see.”

“hmm” said Hermione.

“Hermione?” called a voice from the kitchen

“Sirius!”

“good to see you. I wish it were better circumstances.”

“yes, the trunks should be arriving soon, although Louisa, Dumbledore didn’t mention one for you.”

“Oh, that’s because I don’t really have one.”

“But there’s one in your room!”

“It’s just a container. Is there a bag?”

“Yes, Snape gave me this to give to you.”

“that’s everything.”

“oh”

Louisa pulled out a few pictures and smiled. Sirius smiled over her shoulder.

“you know, I never realised quite how much you look like her.” He said. Hermione frowned.

“did you know her Sirius?” asked Hermione.

“Sevie? Oh yeah. She was…” he started becoming flustered for words.

“she was in Gryffindor.” Louisa piped up.

“oh”

“well I suppose you need a rest Hermione, I’m quite tired myself and I want to be rested when they come back to hear all the news.” She went back upstairs and lay on her bed. Hermione went to the bedroom she shared with Ginny.

It was dinner time before the small crowd reappeared at the house. The three of them had tried to prepare some dinner for everyone but their attempts were highly undesirable. And they wanted to know more about Arthur than anything else. The words, “cheerful” and “silly fool” kept being uttered but all in all everything was fine. Tears were running down Molly and Ginny’s cheeks in full flow the whole evening and despite best efforts from the male counterparts they mopped their cheeks most of the evening too.
