Chapter 4
Katniss. She's going to leave me. Why? I know. Because she knows I could not last a day in the arena. The Peacekeepers take her away, and I follow them with mother. We go into her room, and she comes up and hugs me. I clutch on, hoping I could convince her to stay. But no. She let's me go, and turns to mother. "You cannot do it again. You cannot give up. Prim needs you. Do you understand? I'm not here anymore. And may never be. You need to protect her!" Katniss says, her voice full of anger. Mother nods and hugs Katniss. I can see that mother will keep me safe. Just in her eyes. I feel a hand on me. The Peacekeepers are taking me away. "NO!NO! KATNISS! NOOOOOO" I scream as they take me out along with mother. I see Gale, Madge, and the Baker go in, then come out, why Katniss? She left me with mother. And Gale. I run home to my shared room and collapse in tears on the bed. Another day of starvation is here.
