Chapter 2
Gale. A handsome, kind, and fierce boy. He's 18 though. My sister is his best friend and like an older brother. He protects me. I love him like a brother, and hope that he and Katniss get married! He walks over and hugs me. I feel his sweat and laugh. "Have you been hunting with Katniss?" I ask. He often goes out with her. Hunting. That's how we are still alive. Her illegal hunting. We are not supposed to hunt, in the forest if District 12. I do not let go of him until Katniss walks up. "Crushing are you?" She asks laughing giving Gale a hug and kissing my forehead. We go inside Gale behind me. He sits down on the floor while Katniss goes to see mother. "Do you think you'll be chosen as a District 12 tribute?" He asks, and my smile disappears. "Its only my first year. I'm only 12. I can't die!" I wail. Katniss comes back and pats my back. "You won't get chosen, it's only your first year!" She says, and it comforts me. Katniss will always be there for me. I know it in my heart.
