The Warrior inside
Chapter 3
We all have a warrior inside of us. The problem is we don’t know it.
We have all have been through terrible, sad, awkward, angry, moments. The thing about those moments isn’t what happens, it’s what you do with them. Most of us have stayed quiet, bite our lip, and continued. But we shouldn’t do that. We mostly do it because of fear. Fear of rejection, and pain. But, we are NOT alone, even if it sometimes feels like the whole world is against us. We must remember that no matter how much fear, or sadness we carry we must draw strength from within. From our warrior inside.
Yes, some situations are terrifying, but we must be strong. Strength isn’t about attacking, it’s about defending. Defending ourselves, defending our loved ones, defending our rights, and believes! It isn’t about attacking a situation, or a person. It’s about defending yourself, and everything you love. That is strength. Finding the courage to stand up. And that courage is inside of us, it has always been inside of us.
We might not feel it. We might feel like it left us, but it’ll never leave us, not even when we die. We have to find it. Now, I’m not saying when we find it we will not feel pain, sadness, or even fear. We are going to feel the same things, BUT we are going to free a new quality, a quality who is sometimes locked inside of us, the quality of continuing, of not giving up, of continuing to fight for yourself. Because this strength isn’t physical, it’s mental strength. The thought, and the capacity to defend what you love, to continue even when life is a crazy terrible mess, to get out of the terrible darkness and into the light.
