The Hogwarts Houses: Ravenclaw
Chapter 4
"Said Ravenclaw, 'I'll take only those whose intelligence is surest!'"
-The Sorting Hat
Ravenclaw has the nickname "The House of Intelligence" (Its uncommon) because that was the quality that Rowena Ravenclaw looked for in her students. If you're new to the world of Harry Potter or a Ravenclaw wanting to know more, than this chapter should be very interesting for you.
The Common Room:
If you've read the last book of the Harry Potter series, then you know this already, so hang tight while I explain it to the people who haven't. The Ravenclaw common room's secret entrance is at the top of Ravenclaw Tower, and it is through a handleless door with a bronze eagle knocker. Use it and answer the question as wisely as you can. Unlike Gryffindor or Slytherin, there is no pass phrase. After that, proceed into the common room. The Ravenclaw common room has a huge domed roof with an amazing view of the mountains. Its floor is enchanted to mirror the night sky during nighttime and the regular sky during the day. It has many blue armchairs, as well as a fireplace and Ravenclaw statue. There are also two entrances leading to the girl's and boy's dormitories.
The Symbolization:
The symbol of Ravenclaw is a bronze eagle that shows their ability to think at new levels. Ravenclaw house has a good reputation and is known for producing very talented and educated people. I don't think that Ravenclaw should be associated with anything bad, and it is a very great house to be chosen for. You Ravenclaws should be proud!
"Ravenclaws are very intelligent, and are therefore the very best students in class, and the most likely to succeed."
