Be Strong. Do Your Part: An Inspirational Note
Chapter 1
Dear reader,
You might be wondering why I have put Be Strong as the title of this book. Well, this book is a note to you, the reader, to cheer you up, to get you inspired, to remind you of how we can stay strong. Please, please just give this a chance before you think of closing this book. Listen to what I have to say. It may be the one thing that you don’t know you need to hear but you do.
During these hard times with coronavirus and quarantine and shelter-in-place, we all are feeling pretty miserable. It’s normal, since almost all of us also feel miserable. And sometimes we feel like this is the worst thing ever and you want to go outside and hug your friends but you can’t.
But think of it this way.
Every minute you are following the rules and staying home and wearing a mask, that could be one life you have saved.
There are some people who do not believe that covid is real. They are as wrong as can be. Look at the facts. Look at the world. People are dying and it is because of the coronavirus. And it is also because of those people who refuse to follow the rules. If you are not socially distancing and wearing masks in public places, you are contributing to the deaths of people. Do you want that kind of weight on your shoulders?
The most important thing to do right now during this time is to be strong. You may think that right now, you are living the worst life ever and you think you are so miserable and you hate life. But think of those people who have so much less than you. Think of some people who don’t have running water, electricity, or medical insurance so they can’t get treated if they get COVID. Think of them every time you complain about coronavirus.
And if you are one of those people who don’t have the luxuries that some people do, then I am truly sorry. You deserve just as much as we do.
That is why we need to all unite as one country/nation/world, because it is only then that we can fight the coronavirus with full force.
We need you, the people, to know that coronavirus is real. It is not a joke. It is real. And it is killing people. And if you don’t follow the rules, those lives that are being lost right this minute are partially your fault.
So do the right thing. Follow the rules. Social distance. Wear masks when going in the public. Wash your hands.
For those of you who are doing your best to fight coronavirus and are following the rules, thank you. We need more people like you to help fight coronavirus. Thank you.
Above all, stay strong. You must keep your mental health steady by interacting socially with others, even if it is online. We must do all we can to help others who don’t have as much as we do.
Remember that we are all there for you during these hard times. Remember that your family and friends love you and they are still cheering you on even though you can’t see them in real life or hug them.
But it will all be worth it once coronavirus is over. The faster and more you follow the rules, the faster coronavirus can go away.
Coronavirus will not go away in a while if you don’t do something about it. Do your part, follow the rules, and coronavirus will go away faster.
Be strong in these hard times. The light at the end of the tunnel seems a long way from here, but we will get there. We will.
Stay strong. Be brave. Do your part.
Love,
Celeste Evergreen
PS. I would love it if you posted on my wall what you think of this note! Did you like it? Did you not? Why or why not? Should I make another one? I value your opinion. :) Hope you enjoyed.
