Now, you probably know that by your third year, you get to go to Hogsmeade! But, that means less time for studying. So make the best of it!  I developed a schedule today that splits my time between fun and even more fun! Here's what I did: I brought my notes for my quizzes tomorrow and notebook for my essay to Hogsmeade with me. I went to Honeydukes and bought some Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans and went to The Three Broomsticks. I ordered some Butterbeer and sat down at a table near the window. I went through my notes and then quizzed myself, drinking my Butterbeer the whole time. Every time I got an answer right, I ate a jelly bean. Once I had finished studying for the test, I left the Three Broomsticks and went for a walk. This helps to make sure you are not straining your eyes. I ate more jelly beans as I walked and guessed the flavor to insure that my mind was still on its toes. Finally, I sat in the snow, leaning against the fence near the Shrieking Shack. I pored over my notes and wrote my essay. I called my friend Liz to me and asked her if my essay made sense. She told me it did, and I went with her to Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop to admire the quills until it was time to go. On the way back to Hogwarts I wondered what I would do if Liz had told me that the essay did not make sense. I opened my notebook and jotted down my thoughts:

If Liz had told me that my essay did not make sense, I would have done what I would recommend to anyone in this situation. Go for a walk and clear your thoughts. Then come back and read through it. For the parts that don't make sense, draw a picture of what you mean and instead of what you originally wrote, describe the picture. 

I smiled and sat on the edge of my seat in anticipation of more school.
