I’m not going to say that over the years I wasn’t exposed to a lot. I was, and I’ll get to it, in time. But what never ceases to amaze me is the different reactions I would get from people over the mere fact that I was a Snape. He was a professor for most of my life and yet due to the demeanour he held in class, strict marks and pale complexion he got a bad reputation. EVERYONE knew I was related to him. The fact that I was hidden away for the first few years of my life, I don’t count, but once I started Hogwarts I was known as a Snape. The only teacher not to work it out was Professor Slughorn, but he was a little slow in that department. When around certain people (mainly me) his face would transition from the usual sour face that everyone saw in class to the relaxed face that I knew.

On the occasions that he showed any sign of loving emotions, notably when I was sick or picking me up/leaving me at a friend’s house there would always be a different reaction.

Molly Weasley: impressed and kind face that reassured him not to worry.

Arthur Weasley: short chuckle and the thought of him showing him how to parent.

Fred & George Weasley: usually had a bet on how long he would stay, whether he would smile etc…

Ron Weasley: Mouth open every time no question.

Ginny Weasley: Wide eyes.

Mr & Mrs Diggory: proud moment.

Cedric Diggory: Twiddled with fingers and tried to look elsewhere.

Mr & Mrs Storm: Fussed over things in the kitchen

Leanne Storm: Would bite her lips to stop laughing.

Harry Potter: shocked with a slight amount of questioning.

Hermione Granger: head tilt with sigh

Sirius Black: Having known him the longest he was always shocked that he could show emotion at all.

Albus Dumbledore: Perfectly Natural.

Tonks: One of the only times she acted professionally.

These are amongst the only people to see the real family unit we had built for ourselves.
