Cho
Chapter 1
Cho and I were in the same year, possibly one of my only Ravenclaw friends. I wasn’t friends with the other girls such as Marietta because they constantly laughed behind their hands and it was annoying. She was on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team and played as seeker, which I think she did from our 4th year and was very good at charms. We were almost the complete opposite of each other. But she was kind and friendly which was always appealing. She was always someone that would say hello to you when she passed as opposed to laughing at you like her friends did. That was a very genuine thing that she did.
Our common interest was Cedric. Everyone knew that she had a crush on him and when I was not allowed to date him anymore, we set up a ruse that Cho would instead. She went with him to the Yule Ball and became his “girlfriend”. Our planned failed by the fact that Cedric died. I spent the summer getting over him, mourned his loss and have pretty much put him in an eternal state of remembrance whereas for Cho, I think that coming back to school was the hardest part for her. We all have coping mechanisms I was just lucky in the fact that mine was family.
I heard her on many occasions and accounts from Myrtle that she spent most of her time crying. It was something I could understand. She would hide in the girl’s toilets or sit outside. When they started the DA her moods got better. We had been quite close before but she didn’t want to speak to me afterwards. Sometimes I wonder if I was some sort of reminder and didn’t help the situation. I tried to stay clear as much as I could but we had several classes together.
I saw her at the Battle of Hogwarts but you could say that she is one that I never stayed in touch with. I know she married a muggle but more than that… I don’t really know.
I’ve heard that she has been in touch with certain family members of mine but other than that I have little to say.
