Hufflepuff
Chapter 6
After everyone had finished the feast and sung the song, the Hufflepuff first years followed Cassadee. Nala felt light as she walked, she was exhausted. They followed Cassadee out of the chattering crowd and down to one of the lower floors. She was, luckily, awake enough to absorb her surroundings and memorise the route, she could easily imagine some people getting lost. It didn't take long though, for Nala and her fellows to reach the common room. Nala frowned, feeling that Cassadee must have taken them the wrong way, as they had reached a dead end. Cassadee clearly knew something Nala didn't.
"Gather round kiddos," Cassadee said. There was something that made all the students like this girl, she wasn't bossy like other prefects and she just seemed so kind. Although, maybe she was a bit mad, because she had got the children to gather round a bunch of barrels. "This is the entry to your common room-" blank faces and frowns "-here you can spend time with your fellow Hufflepuffs-" more blank faces and frowns "-all you need to do is knock the correct rhythm on the correct barrell-" recognition began to dawn "-like this-" she knocked onto the middle barrell "-Ta-dah!"
The barrell door had swung open to reveal the nicest room Nala had ever seen. It was a cosy round room decorated with hangings in yellow and black. Sunlight streamed through the round windows that were only at the top of the room because it was mostly underground. On the polished floorboards sat fat cosy armchairs and Nala could see lots of underground tunnels leading, presumably, to the dormitories.
Cassadee swung the door closed. The students looked at her frowning or with shocked looks on their faces.
"I want to see that you can definitely get in. Trust me, you'll want to do it when I'm here in case you go wrong."
"Okay. Easy," this boy had a rather rude tone.
"What's your name?" Cassadee asked kindly.
"None of you- I mean, Zacharias Smith," he answered. Cassadee arched her eyebrow at the rude boy but gestured for him to try. Nala noticed immediately that he had tapped the wrong barrell in the wrong rhythm. To her immense surprise, a great load of vinegar came out and drenched the rude boy. She had to stifle her giggles.
"Easy, is it?" Cassadee smirked.
AN: SORRY FOR THE SHORT FILLER
