Roller Coaster Part Two!
Chapter 6
I gasped, and jumped out of my seat automatically. I wasn't sitting down though. I was, somewhere else definitely.
As I looked around, I saw the creatures around me. The place I was looking at was beautiful, but not. It was horrid. But definitely beautiful.
There were cherry blossom trees lining the path, a kind wooden bench sitting at the corner, inviting me to come sit and read a good book.
There were little buildings the sizes of bedrooms, with moss running up the walls.
The picture was ugly with smoky air, puddles of dark water, a small dark moon hidden behind the beautiful night sky clouds. And people with tattered clothing laying on the ground next to skeletons.
After looking around a bit more, I noticed a little stream of sparkly flowing, dirty water. I looked at my refection. My hair was, frizzy. It was shocked up in birds nest.
That's when I realized something. I gasped and looked around. Everyone around me had shocked frizzy hair too! But what were all these people doing here?
I saw my friends running towards me. Their hair was as crazy as a chicken. "The, the shock!", my friend panted. "Yes, I know, people who go to The Shock end up going here, I've figured that out!, i said impatiently. "No, the shock. The hair shock! Not The Shock as in the roller coaster! The shock as in our hair! The roller coaster was named after the shock in our hair!", Maddie said.
My eyes grew wide, she was right! But, how would our hair become frizzy? And why would they're be dark black patches in our face?
I looked down, my clothes were burnt black. Because. Because..."Because of lighting!", I screamed.
My friends looked discombobulated.
I waved my hand around.
"The tattered clothing, shocked hair, dark patches, it was lighting! That's why our stomachs turned, and we felt sick! We got struck by lighting!", I yelled.
An old man near by us had probably heard what I said, for he came to us.
"Go wash your faces in the stream.", he grumbled.
The stream! No wonder it was dirty yet beautiful!
"Why are we here?", asked Maddie to the old guy. The man hesitated. "Because The Shock was, 'The Ride of Life.', you have to figure your life plan out, and if you plan is correct, you go," said the old man.
