Time Travel
Chapter 3
It was midnight, and Eric, a small high school freshman was under his blanket, a flashlight by his side, reading his favorite time travel book.
All of a sudden, he heard a faint knock on his door. He flipped his book shut and turned off his flashlight, covering himself with his blanket. He very well knew he wasn't supposed to stay awake after 3:00 in the morning.
Eric waited for his door to open. But it never did! He waited, for only a few minutes, when he decided he's get back to his reading.
He had only read one page of his book when he heard another knock. He got up and opened the door.
"Who is it?", he asked, looking around. The hallway was dark, with nobody to see. He shrugged and went back to his bed.
But that's when he got scared.
There was a very unpleasant sound.
It was the sound of long, sharp nails that had scratched against a chalkboard. He gagged, gulped, and sat straight up.
It had to be his sister. She loves playing pranks on him.
There was a thunder storm. Eric looked at the open window, and quickly tried to close it.
But he got struck by lighting.
When he woke, he quickly tried to find his book.
It was nowhere to be found. That's when realized something.
He wasn't in his room.
In fact, he wasn't even in the same century!
It was as if he was living in the times of is favorite writer, Shakespeare.
And as if this day couldn't get any weirder, he realized yet another thing!
Everything that was happening to him had happened in his time travel book!
Weird noises, a thunder storm, a Shakespeare time room, everything!
That's why he couldn't find his book, and everything was different!
